Demolition

The old market is being torn down. Up the wall we see where the treads of stairs used to be; but the stairs, and the people who went down them, are gone.

Through the hacked out V at the back corner we see cute painted tiles: Cakes, fruit, fillets of fish. But whoever decorated that restaurants walls is gone too.

Partly submerged in the water left by the afternoon rain we see a museum-grade accumulation of Thai junk: twisted pink plastic hangers, a green drinks can (not Chang), plastic injection-molded parts, an incense pot.
